Have you met TED? Or: Where to learn something every day!

Have you met TED

For some of you this title will only remind you that the series „How I Met Your Mother“ (IMDB) still has not come back with new episodes. Far more important is that you also already know TED – Ideas worth spreading. The short version for all of you that have never heard of that website.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.

That by itself doesn’t sound that interesting but put in other words.

TED is a website where you can watch talks (by interesting people) on interesting topics for free. The talks are categorized and last a maximum of 18 min. So it’s basically like youtube only that you actually learn something meaningful in every video.

Perfect for beginners but also veterans is this list, that the folks over at TED have put together: TED Blog | The 20 most-watched TED Talks to date

So that resolution „Learn something every day“ isn’t so hard to put into action after all. Especially as you can rely on such handy resources as this one:

No Excuse List – The best place on the web to learn anything, free.

No Excuse List

You’ve guessed it, TED is on that list too. („How I Met Your Mother“ isn’t by the way) So head over to TED or to the No Excuse List because there is really no excuse to not use those great resources!
